Canvas City Church Staff

MEET OUR STAFF

Joe Suh

Lead Pastor
Pastor Joe and his wife Betty are both Southern California natives. For the past 20 years, Joe has been an active member at the Church of Southland in Anaheim and for the last 7 years, Joe served as an associate pastor at the church. Prior to receiving his calling into pastoral ministry, Joe was a licensed attorney practicing in the area of litigation. At this point of his ministry journey, Joe received a calling to lead Canvas City Church and continue the work that God started in the city of Philadelphia. The Suh family feels blessed to join Canvas and lead the church into a new season of blessings, healing, and growth.

Bryan Mun

Associate Pastor
Bryan was born and raised in the Bay Area in California. He attended college in hopes to become a mechanical engineer. However, that changed when he sensed a calling into pastoral ministry his sophomore year. In the spring of 2017, he received his M.Div at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary and more recently, received a Master in Formational Leadership at Capital Seminary. In his spare time, he enjoys practicing latte art, playing sports, and exploring the city with his beautiful wife, Jenn.

Joy Kim

Youth Coordinator
Joy, a Delaware native with a degree in Human Services, is dedicated to nurturing young minds and guiding them in their journey of self-discovery in Christ. Her passion for fostering close relationships extends beyond her work, as she finds joy in savoring diverse culinary experiences, sharing laughter and meaningful moments with friends, and embarking on adventures in cafe hopping.

Julie Lee

Preschool Coordinator
Julie's mission is clear: to create a safe and secure environment where preschool children can begin their journey of faith and get to know Jesus. Her extensive experience of 30 years is a testament to her dedication to providing a nurturing space where children can grow, learn, and thrive in their early years. Her heart is in helping children not only discover the world around them but also develop a deeper understanding of their faith. Julie has five children and one of her greatest passions is to feed people.

Eddie Kim

Founding Pastor
Pastor Eddie and his wife, Min, hail from sunny California. Pastor Eddie was ordained through Acts Ministries International and served as the worship pastor at the Church of Southland in Anaheim. In the fall of 2018, after nearly two decades of serving at the Church of Southland, Pastor Eddie and Min received the calling to plant Canvas City Church in Philadelphia. They felt that it was God's timing and obeyed. Under their leadership, many people came to both deepening faith and saving faith. On December 16, 2023, Pastor Eddie went to be with our heavenly Father. Though Pastor Eddie is no longer physically with us, his legacy and heart continue to impact the people at Canvas and beyond.
